Other Staff
Much of Emory's experience with writing and design comes from 23 years at Boston Store, 20 of which have been in advertising, where he now writes for web and newspaper advertising, and is stretching his design skills. Emory also has over 40 years of creative writing experience, including short published pieces, a one-act play performed in a One Act Play Festival, and several successful freelance design projects.

Emory Churness has been a member of Cross Church since 1997 and has been increasing his involvement with its behind-the-scenes work over the last year. In addition to spearheading the website's new design and coordinating with the site host, ConnectedWord, Emory has undertaken a variety of printed materials designs -- everything from tri-folds and flyers to program books for the 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Ball, and the 140th Anniversary Celebration. Emory also assists with the Cross Praise Choir and various other ministries.
